The Art
Growing Art All Over The Pacific Northwest!
What in the world does farming have to do with art?! We hear that
a lot... Actually, growers are artists in their own right. People
don't always realize how much creativity and heart go into a garden.
Or gardens go even a step beyond the normal amount of artistic
investment. Flowers and vegetables are clustered together in order
to provide aesthetic balance. Our customer deliveries are arranged
using the most beautiful materials and produce. Our fields and
products become sculpture for our growers and consumers to enjoy.
Once the new farm is up and running we will re-open our artist
sponsorship program. In previous years we have selected local artists
who we believe represent the values and style of the Art Farm.
These artists received beautiful Art Farm fruits and veggies in
exchange for their new works. Our goal is to extend this program
to include full sponsorship of up to five artists a season. We
will host them on the farm and provide a venue through which they
can sell their art. They will have an opportunity to create, teach
and grow without being distracted by external energy drains (read:
rent or groceries). This program is targeted for spring 2006.
